After Powers: Bureau wraps up next month, writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming will, as you'd expect, be back with a new volume of Powers in December, just in time for the TV series based on the property to debut on PlayStation Network.

Since the series won't debut until December, we don't know a lot about it -- or what differentiates it from previous iterations -- just yet, but the new Powers #1 will feature a stylish variant cover by David Mack, which you can see below, according to Bendis's Tumblr.

Bendis is currently on the set of the TV series, but that hasn't stopped him from posting things like this teaser of the future of Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man.

debuted in 2000 and follows the exploits of law enforcement officers operating in a world where superhumans exist, and superhero battles are a part of daily life. It launched at Image Comics (who will soon publish a scriptbook for the title) but then moved over to Marvel's creator-owned Icon imprint.

The TV series, the second attempt at bringing the acclaimed comic to the screen, will star Sharlto Copley, Susan Heyward, Eddie Izzard and more.
