The website Star Wars VII News is reporting a rumor that the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

It's a little hard to follow, but apparently a local theater owner spilled the beans that the trailer was coming, and that it likely wouldn't be seen with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which has been another popular rumor, because of regulation against studios cross-promoting too frequently.

The site also quotes a fan's tweet - that has since been deleted - that seems to confirm, or at least strongly hint, at the trailer's inclusion with The Hobbit.

Had a talk from Thomas Gormley today, when asked about the teaser trailer for Star Wars VII he said, "You might wanna go see The Hobbit."

They also mention that Peter Jack, The Hobbit's director, paid a visit to Pinewood Studios, where The Force Awakens is filming. Whether or not this had anything to do with a Star Wars trailer is unknown.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies opens December 17. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will open almost exactly one year later, on December 18, 2015.
