The Interview To Reportedly Stream On YouTube

It looks like in addition to being released in select theaters, The Interview will also stream online. According to a report on CNN, Sony Pictures has reached a tentative agreement with Google to stream The Interview on YouTube.

The Interview will reportedly be available for rental through YouTube on Christmas Day, which is the same day the movie is set to premiere in around 300 independently-owned theaters.

However, CNN does warn that there is still the possibility that the deal could fall apart. They also report that it's unlikely that the deal will be exclusive and The Interview might stream on other online services as well. There were earlier reports that The Interview could be released on Apple's iTunes, but those talks apparently did not work out.

Update: It has been confirmed that The Interview will be released today not only on YouTube but on Google Play, X-box, and Sony's own site as well.
