Marvel debuted new Avengers: Age of Ultron footage at a Samsung-hosted "Night With Marvel Event" yesterday, showing a few new shots of Ultron and the Avengers in action.

In an Age of Ultron featurette made for the event's attendees, Marvel reused most of the footage in last October's trailer, but packed in a new shot of Ultron bursting through a train's walls in a scene with Quicksilver, a sequence where Iron Man leaves a trail of destroyed Ultron bots as he flies towards the audience, and a shot of a Samsung building crumbling to the ground. As IGN, who attended the event, noted, the new scenes were laced with concept art for Ultron, showing him in different stages of development. This supports the idea that Ultron will continuously update and revise himself as the film progresses.

The footage was also interspersed with commentary from director Joss Whedon, who discussed bringing the villainous android to life. Whedon mentioned that when he thought of the Avengers, he always imagined them fighting Ultron. He also revealed that he always wanted someone in the vein of James Spader to bring the robot to life, so he just aimed high for the actor himself.

Samsung said that they might release the featurette on Samsung devices, but hopefully the footage will come in Monday's trailer during the College Football Playoff Championship.

Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1st.
