Image Comics have kicked off 2015 with a new Humble Bundle offering in support of the Hero Initiative.
With their Image Firsts Humble Bundle deal, Image Comics readers can support creator-owned comics, the Hero Initiative and get a primer on many of the publisher's biggest new titles, including C.O.W.L. and Sex Criminals.
Humble Bundle offers pay-what-you-want options for readers to jump on with digital copies of comics, games and more -- although there are also additional tiers offered to persuade fans to exceed certain levels.
In the case of the Image Firsts Humble Bundle, fans who pay more than the average rate (currently $13.57) can add The Walking Dead: A New Beginning, Wytches #1, The Manhattan Projects Book One (collecting the acclaimed series' first ten issues) and more. A target rate of $18 has been set and anyone who exceeds that number will get all three tiers of books, including a digital copy of The Walking Dead Compendium One and the first 18 issues of Saga collected in Saga Book One.
The Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for comic creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work.
