With Billy Dee Williams voicing Lando Calrissian in next week's episode of Star Wars Rebels, and James Earl Jones having already reprised his role as the voice of Darth Vader for the show, we got to thinking about what other actors we might like to see return to voice their old Star Wars characters in future episodes of Star Wars Rebels.

We've made a list of five such characters. Admittedly, at least three of them are incredibly obvious choices, but that doesn't make them any less valid.

Here are five Star Wars characters we'd like to see appear on Star Wars Rebels, voiced by their previous actors.

Boba-Fett 61fdadfd

Boba Fett - Temuera Morrison

Boba Fett appeared in The Clone Wars, voiced by Daniel Logan, the young actor who portrayed the character as a boy in Attack of the Clones. With Star Wars Rebels taking place so much closer to the original trilogy, now would be the perfect time to show us Boba Fett at work prior to his appearance in The Empire Strikes Back, and voiced by Temuera Morrison, the actor who portrayed Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, and who was used as the voice of Boba in the special editions of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Luke-Skywalker dd9c9f9b

Luke Skywalker – Mark Hamill

Of Star Wars' holy trinity, Mark Hamill voicing Luke Skywalker seems the most likely to actually happen, given Hamill's voice acting resume. For this to happen, Star Wars Rebels would have to expand its scope considerably, as the show so far has been confined to Lothal and the surrounding system, and Luke is firmly in the care of his aunt and uncle on Tatooine by the end of Revenge of the Sith.

It's implied in A New Hope that Luke has heard of, if not met, Ben Kenobi. Perhaps Star Wars Rebels can endeavor to show us how it is Luke comes to know that name.

Princess-Leia-Organa d7761ff5

Princess Leia – Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher is no stranger to voice acting, having done some work on Family Guy and in the Robot Chicken Star Wars Specials. Like with Luke, it would be interesting to hve a peek into Leia Organa's life as a princess on Alderaan, and perhaps see what it is that spurs her to follow in her adoptive father's footsteps and become such an important member of the Rebellion.

We've already seen Bail Organa make an appearance in Star Wars Rebels, so Leia popping up wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Whether or not Fisher would come on board to voice her is the real question.

Han-Solo 1d08eb2e

Han Solo – Harrison Ford

The real longshot of the trinity is Harrison Ford. We'd love to get to see Han Solo appear in Star Wars Rebels, particularly in a role that shows him as the complete mercenary that the "Han Shot First" crowd envision him as being prior to A New Hope and him getting tangled up with the Rebellion. To show Han competing with the crew of The Ghost on the same job, Han acting out of self-interest while Kanan is working more altruistically, would be a great prequel act to Han's character arc in the original trilogy.

Emperor-Palpatine 7ac4a10e

Emperor Palpatine – Ian McDiarmid

Ian McDiarmid played the Emperor in Return of the Jedi, and Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious in the prequel trilogy, making him one of the unifying elements between the two trilogies. Incredibly talented actors have voiced Palpatine already, but now that he's fully ascended to the Emperor's throne, it would be very cool to hear McDiarmid channel that terrifying voice from Return of the Jedi into at least one episode of Star Wars Rebels.

Star Wars Rebels airs Monday nights on Disney XD.
