Once, there was a time when the IMAX screen was reserved only for films. That time is about to end, as Game of Thrones is set to become the first televisions series to be released in IMAX theaters, with special screen of the final two Season 4 episodes, "The Watchers on the Wall" and "The Children."

So that Game of Thrones is shattering that barrier, we got to thinking about what other TV shows we'd like to see on an IMAX screen. We decided to stick to series that are still in production (or only recently wrapped, in one case), and picked the ones we think most worthy of the spectacle-enhancing grandeur of an IMAX theater.

Here are our top five picks.

Arrow/The Flash

We're cheating a little bit here already by using this spot for, technically, two shows, but considering how much of an event The CW has made their now annual The Flash/Arrow crossovers, we think it's fair. In fact, if The CW is going to keep producing yearly crossovers between these two shows, we don't see why yearly IMAX screenings couldn't be an event as well. It's not too late to start with the first crossover, "The Flash vs. Arrow," and just keep on going from there. The Flash's speed power and science-based villains and Arrow's killer stunts and fight scenes would be a lot of fun to watch in IMAX.

The Legend of Korra

There are few, if any, better looking western animated series than The Legend of Korra. Watching that animation at work on an IMAX would be engrossing and mesmerizing. Almost any of the action-heavy episode of Legend of Korra would work well, particularly the finales, but we think the best choice would the "Beginnings: Parts 1 & 2." This two part story tells the origin of the Avatar and showcases a style different from what either The Legend of Korra or The Last Avatar had featured before. Its some of Studio Myr's best animation work, and a contender for best episodes of the series.

(As an honorable mention, the four-part Avatar: The Last Airbender series finale, "Sozin's Comet: The Final Battle," would also make an incredible IMAX experience.)

Star Wars Rebels

You can never get enough of Star Wars on the big screen, right? So why not bring the latest animated series in the franchise to the biggest screen available? As a Star Wars property, Star Wars Rebels has all of the action and excitement you want from something playing in the IMAX format. The TV-movie pilot, "Spark of Rebellion," would probably be the best choice for IMAX as of right now, but if you consider even a televised movie to be cheating a little, we're sure Star Wars Rebels will produce some other IMAX-worthy episodes as it continues its run.

(As another honorable mention, Star Wars: The Clone Wars' many space battles would also look pretty good in IMAX).

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead's post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested wasteland has entranced viewers for years. How much more immersive would that world become when it takes up an entire IMAX screen? The tension only grows when the zombie are the size of a theater wall, an you can hear them shuffling your way in those bombastic IMAX speakers.

Attack on Titan

It's an anime about the last survivors of humankind, holed up in a city surrounded by massive walls, trying not to be eaten by nude giants. What about that concept doesn't scream "IMAX, please" to you? Considering what a sensation the series has been in both Japan and the United States, its easy to see a legion of fans – likely in cosplay – filling up an IMAX theater for a unique viewing experience.

(One more honorable mention: we'd be crazy to anime here without mentioning how incredible it would be to see Neon Genesis Evangelion's giant robot battles in IMAX).

Game of Thrones will being playing in select IMAX theaters, along with the trailer for Game of Thrones Season 5, on January 29.
