On tonight's episode of Jimmy Kimmel LiveArrow star Stephen Amell appeared, talking up the show and competing in a "Name That Thing" competition with Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet (Amell, a Canadian, lost by a narrow margin after naming fewer U.S. Presidents in a tiebreaker round).

So...how did it go?

Pretty well, other than losing the fake game show.

"Being here is a dream come true," Amell said. "Arrow was my tenth American job; I got my first American job sitting in that audience."

Pressed for details, he told Kimmel that he ended up as the killer on CSI: Miami after a call he received in the Kimmel audience. He said that while security didn't allow him to check the phone call from his agent, he had left the show early and missed the musical guest to check his messages.

During the interview, Kimmel noted that when he was younger, the character was called Green Arrow but "you only use Arrow as the title."

"Well, you never know," Amell quipped.

Kimmel also said that the Arrow fans, and in particular "Olicity" shippers, have been passionate and rabid tweeting at the show.

"I don't know what they want from me," Kimmel said. "You're on the show! I think they want me to tear limbs off your body and mail it to them."

Amell, addressing Olicity, called them "star-crossed lovers" and said that the problem with Oliver and Felicity being together is that "she is slightly unattainable for me, and my character is dead." Asked whether Oliver is really dead, Amell said, "He's certainly hurt."

Arrow returns tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
