The website Making Star Wars has posted some more rumors regarding the first standalone Star Wars film, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla").

They have heard from their sources at Pinewood Studios that filming will have "more on-location shooting than" J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens had. Crew members believe one of the destinations that will be used is Mexico. The movie will be filming under the codename "Los Alamos."

As for the plot of the film, Making Star Wars reiterates what we have previously heard from other sites, which is that "Bounty hunters are important to the film." Slash Film thinks the plot will be about the bounty hunters, led by Boba Fett, attempting to steal the Death Star plans. Keep in mind, that is still just a rumor.

Lastly, in order to save money Disney will have artists redecorate sets from The Force Awakens. "There are lots of cost cutting measures like that in place for the first spin-off film," Making Star Wars explained. "Most of the reshoot materials are to be saved when possible for this reason."

Gareth Edwards' Star Wars film will land in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
