Luke Evans Is No Longer A Part Of The Crow Reboot

The Crow reboot suffered a setback as Luke Evans has officially exited the project.

Evans's publicist confirmed to TheWrap that the actor parted ways to pursue other projects. Relativity Media declined to comment.

Evans was set to play Eric Draven, a rock musician who is revived from the dead to avenge his murder and death of his fiancée. However with production delays and no start date in sight, Evans was forced to move on.

Tom Hiddleston was also originally up for the role but ultimately passed on the project.

Director Corin Hardy is scheduled to begin meeting with actors after his film The Hallow debuts at Sundance.

The original film starred the late Brandon Lee and is considered a cult classic.
