We here at ComicBook.com are looking forward to Super Bowl XLIX for a number of reasons (movie trailers!). While we'll have you covered with all the trailers as they happen, we know not everyone is going to want to tune into the showdown between Chris Pratt's Seattle Seahawks and Chris Evan's New England Patriots. So, we've pulled together a list of some viewing alternatives while you hit that refresh button looking for new trailers. There are some great options ranging from zombie fare, sci-fi adventures to the downright adorable.

Star Trek: The Next Generation marathon: BBC America is taking you boldly away from football from 9 AM (Eastern) through 3AM on Monday.

Airplane Vs Volcano

SyFy Monster Movie marathon: Seahawks and Patriots too tame for you? Starting at 9 AM (Eastern) our friends at SyFy are bringing you mega movie monster showdowns for the ages including, Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark, Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies & so much more. There is also Airplane vs. Volcano featuring former Superman, Dean Cain. Check your local listings for showdowns.

Looking for some lighter fare? Animal Planet has you covered of course. They'll be running the 11th annual Puppy Bowl from 3-5 PM and will show a few other times throughout the evening. Watch as Team Ruff takes on Team Fluff for ultimate puppy overload.

Not to be overshadowed by their canine brethren, Hallmark is bringing back the Kitten Bowl starting at Noon.
