JJ Abrams Confirms Some Star Wars Rumors Are True

J.J. Abrams hosted the Irish Oscar Wilde awards in Los Angeles, where Star Wars star Carrie Fisher was being honored.

While at the awards, Abrams spoke about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, specifically all of the rumors surrounding the film. He teases that some of the rumors are true – though he doesn't say which ones, and that he's thankful for everyone searching out spoilers.

"There are a ton of rumors - some true, some false," Abrams says, "But I'm grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie.

"I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18.
