Jared Leto's take on the classic DC Comics villain The Joker will be "majestic," according to Suicide Squad director David Ayer, who answered a fan's question after having posted another behind-the-scenes photo from the set.

The photo itself (embedded below along with the Joker tweet), seems likely to be a prison set, given the nature of the characters and the fact that it seems to be doorways separated by a few feet in a hallway, with metal stairs beyond it.

The film will be loosely based on John Ostrander's run on Suicide Squad, which featured a number of DC Comics supervillains conscripted into government service. If they succeeded, their prison sentences would be reduced. If they failed, they would die and the government would disavow any knowledge of their missions.

If they betrayed Task Force X head Amanda Waller? Well, they all had small explosives placed in the bases of their skulls for such an occasion.

Ayer will direct the film, which also stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang; and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. Rick Flag will also appear in the film, although Tom Hardy withdrew from the role and it hasn't yet been filled. Viola Davis will play Waller.
