Jessie Usher Cast As Will Smith's Son In Independence Day 2

20th Century Fox has cast Survivor's Remorse star Jessie Usher in their Independence Day sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Usher will play the stepson of Captain Steven Hiller. Captain Hiller was of course played by Will Smith ("Suicide Squad") in the original Independence Day, but he chose to pass on reprising the role for the sequel. That means Usher is Dylan Hiller, the son of Jasmine Hiller (Vivica A. Fox). He was played by Ross Bagley in the first film.

The Wrap adds that Liam Hemsworth ("The Hunger Games") will be playing the son-in-law to Bill Pullman's character.

Independence Day 2, which is being directed by Roland Emmerich, will arrive in theaters June 24, 2016.
