Hawkeye Seemingly Confirmed For Captain America: Civil War

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Jeremy Renner has joined the cast of Denis Villeneuve's new sci-fi drama, Story of Your Life. That's not the big news, but in the article itself is an interesting tidbit revealing that Renner will appear in Captain America: Civil War.

He will shoot Captain America: Civil War this spring, then segue to Story of Your Life in mid-June, working with Villeneuve, considered one of the hottest directors in town and who just booked the sequel to Blade Runner. - THR

Renner, who plays Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the Marvel cinematic universe, has appeared in Avengers, Thor and will appear in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. Many had expected that he would have appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the film focused on the dismantling of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the world's greatest marksmen is, or was, an agent for them. In the Avengers sequel we will find out where Hawkeye was during those events.

Let's just stop and think about what an amazing cast Civil War is going to have. As of right now it includes: Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, Renner's Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie's Falcon, Chris Evans' Captain America, and Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther. And of course, the rumored cameo by Sony/Marvel's new Spider-Man. Remember, that's just some of the cast, there will be several more added. I would assume Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes will be back as well. Like I said, this is shaping up to be an amazing cast. What do you think?
