The Walking Dead EP Says Season 5 Finale Has Sad Losses

Expect plenty of somber moments in The Walking Dead's fifth season finale. 

Staying true to season finale form, the AMC show is promising casualties for both the living and the undead. Citing more than a few surprises before it bows out for its summer break, the 90-minute episode is touting itself as one of the biggest yet. 

While discussing the finale, Walking Dead Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd promised that some depressing losses are in store for Rick Grimes' band of survivors.

"You can rest assured that not only walker blood will be spilled," she told Entertainment Weekly. "But there will be a few surprises and some sad losses that no one, I think, will be able to predict."
