Charlie Cox Talks Daredevil On Late Show With David Letterman

Charlie Cox ("Boardwalk Empire"), who was under the weather with food poisoning, was a guest on The Late Show With David Letterman last night and he spoke about his new Netflix show Daredevil.

Letterman began by asking Cox to explain what Daredevil is. "It's a new collaboration between Marvel and Netflix," Cox said. "And Daredevil is one of the most beloved superheroes. He's blind, which is interesting. His disability is his strength."

Letterman inquired about how Daredevil's strength comes from his disability and how does it manifest? "As a 9-year-old boy he was blinded in a road accident where he was saving an old man crossing the street," Cox explained. "And there was a chemical spillage that went into his eyes and as a byproduct of that accident his senses were heightened to such a degree that he can operate better than a seeing-person."

Since all 13-episodes of Netflix will be available all at once on April 10, Letterman wanted to know if the show will benefit from binge-watching. "I think it does," Cox replied. "It seems to be a proven model with the way people like to watch television these days. They like to choose how many episodes they watch and when they watch them."

When asked if there will be more Daredevil, Cox answered, "I don't know, I hope so." We hope so too.
