Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Details Revealed

Marvel and runDisney have released details for the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend.

The event is in its second year, and will take place November 12-15, 2015. The weekend event will feature a new 10k run and Infinity Gauntlet Challenge. Registration begin April 7.

The four day event will take place as the Disneyland Resort in California, and kicks off a three-day health and fitness expo that includes a Pasta in the Park Party on Friday night, complete with a buffet dinner and character appearances.

The actual races will include photo ops with character and other surprises. The first race is the Super Heroes 5k on November 13, an all-ages, family-friendly run. The Captain America 10k takes place on Saturday, November 14. The final race of the weekend is the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon, a 13.1 mile course in and around the resort area.

Runners who register for the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge and complete both the Captain America 10k and Half Marathon—19.3 miles in total—will receive an additional Infinity Gauntlet Challenge medal.
