EXCLUSIVE: Red Onslaught and AXIS Comes to Marvel Heroes 2015

Marvel Heroes 2015 has, so far, completed the difficult task it was handed. It's the only AAA-category Marvel Comics game, and as a free-to-play action RPG, it needs constant updates in order to keep fans interested. In order to help with that, developer Gazillion Entertainment consistently added special events, one-shots, new characters, and raids to keep things fresh for high-level players.

Now, ComicBook.com can exclusively announce the next Raid update, which centers on possibly the worst villain the Marvel Universe has seen in recent years: Red Onslaught. Spinning from Marvel's 2014 AXIS series, The Red Onslaught  is the Red Skull combined with the powers of Charles Xavier. We can also announce when it's hitting the game... later today, Friday April 3, 2015!

Later on, we'll have more screenshots, an interview, a trailer, and the debut of an ongoing element permanently joining the game, where players can take their level 60s into a battle with the monstrous villain. But for now, we give you the opening cinematic, done in Marvel Heroes 2015's signature motion-comic form. It lays out the Raid's basics, explaining how the Red Skull comes to these powers in a world where certain characters (cough Xavier cough) are still alive, despite being very much dead in the main AXIS series.
