Today is actor Hayley Atwell's birthday.

A celebrated British actor, Atwell is known to most comic book fans as Agent Peggy Carter. Carter made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Captain America's love interest in Captain America: The First Avenger, but quickly broke out as a fan favorite. She went on to headline Marvel One Shot: Agent Carter and the ABC miniseries, Marvel's Agent Carter.

Atwell also recently starred in Disney's live adaptation of Cinderella, as Ella's mother. She has also held roles in Cassandra's Dream, The Black Mirror, and Life of Crime.
