Surely, we allow the laws of physics to be broken for the sake of film. For some reason, we may ask how someone survived a fall from a building while we're watching a movie about Thunder Gods and Spider-Men. Maybe, in this case, a better question to ask would be, "What would happen if Quicksilver ran past you?"

Quicksilver has been around in Marvel comics since 1964. He will be one of the latest characters added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a few weeks when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters. Let's not forget, though, that Quicksilver was featured in one the best scenes from X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he moved significantly faster than bullets.

If Quicksilver were to run into you at his 2.1 miles per second speed Marvel attributes to him, it would be the equivalent to "getting smacked by an oil tanker." No one has raise the questions of, "What would happen if he ran past you?"

Not only would you not be able to see much other than a blur, but you would have to deal with the shockwave and vacuum created by his high speed! The Muppets explain the effects of being near Quicksilver at full speed in the video below.

Be sure you don't get to close to Quicksilver when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1!
