Bloodline's "Part 12" starts with John (Kyle Chandler) grilling Janey (Taylor Rouviere) about her boat trip with Danny, though she doesn't have much to reveal. John tells Diana (Jacinda Barrett) that she needs to take the kids to a hotel or something for their safety, making her furious that John hasn't solved the Danny problem. At the hotel, Danny's new higher-up, Ralph (Tyler Cravens), talks to Sally (Sissy Spacek) in her search of her son. She points him in Chelsea's direction.

Meg (Linda Cardellini) finally gets an answer from Marco (Enrique Murciano) about their future, when he says that he has nothing to say to her and that she should go to New York and liver her live "however she wants to." She's looking into flights online later, when Danny (Ben Mendelsohn) bursts into her living room. He wants to know if she was involved in hiding the cocaine, but she denies everything.

Kevin (Norbert Leo Butz) retrieves the gun from his office and starts searching for Danny, with John's assistance over the phone. Then, John goes to Sally and forces her to listen to him when he explains that Danny is dangerous, and that no matter how badly she feels about his past, she needs to report it if Danny even sets foot on the property. Meanwhile, Danny goes to a hotel that Eric (Jamie McShane) paid for to hide. He calls John, threatening to tell Lowry who took all of the cocaine.

In the morning, Danny goes to the bait shop to talk to Lowry (Glenn Morshower). He tells his boss that John's taken all of the cocaine, trying to leverage the fact that only he knows John well enough to manipulate him to getting it all back. Danny also brings up the "torched immigrants," suggesting that's the real sources of John's concern, and Lowry demands that he leaves immediately. Lowry later fills in Ralph on his meeting with Danny; Ralph thinks they should cut their losses, but Lowry doesn't want to lose all of that "product."

Danny finds Chelsea (Chloë Sevigny) at work. She's upset with him for leaving without saying goodbye, but she's more upset that it's clear that he's in big trouble. He thinks that, once he works everything out with John, he won't have to keep leaving town. She's hesitant to believe him but still allows him to borrow her car. At the same time, Eric comes home and is immediately attacked by Ralph. Chelsea arrives later to find Eric beaten, bruised, and skipping town. Kevin catches Danny filling Chelsea's car with gas nearby, but Danny spots him before John arrives on the scene. Gun in hand, Kevin demands that Danny get in the car, but Danny calls his bluff and walks away calmly.

Marco questions John at work. He knows that there's got to be more to the story than what John's sharing – even asking about "what really happened to the cocaine" – but John doesn't cave. Chelsea comes to John's office, afraid for Danny's life after seeing how her horrified, wounded brother. She even tells John which hotel Danny is staying at, begging him to help save Danny's life.

John goes right to the hotel, calling Danny from outside before he steps in. He proposes that they meet up, perhaps making a deal, if Danny can promise John that his kids and wife will be safe. John sees Ralph pacing outside of the hotel, while he and his brother make plans to meet in the morning. Ralph rounds the corner of the building, out of John's eyesight, and John drives away. He hears over the radio that there haven been gunshots fired nearby but keeps driving. Marco calls John to tell him that he's on his way to the scene.

Next, John goes back to the hotel, telling the guard he can go home. Kevin, Meg, and Sally are in the kitchen. John tells them that everything is going to be fine – before he goes to the bathroom to throw up. When he heads back to the kitchen, he finds Danny talking to the others. Sally tries to lead a family discussion, and Danny tells her about his involvement with dealing drugs. He explains that they are now all in danger, since he used the family inn for the process, and he says that he isn't sorry. He never felt safe in the house, and now none of them can either. He calls them all liars and labels his mother as the worst of them all – then he leaves.

John tells Kevin to stay there with Meg and their mother while John takes care of what's next. Kevin quickly goes back to his office to drink and do cocaine. As he gets more pumped up, he starts messing around with a gun. He calls John, who's now at the crime scene with Marco, where Ralph's dead body lies. Kevin tells John that if he doesn't do anything about Danny – he will and demands action. John agrees, going to Kevin's office to get the gun.

Danny listens to the old tapes of his siblings lying about their father's attack over and over again, thinking. Meanwhile, John sits in his car as the sun comes up, gun in hand, also deep in thought. Finally, the brothers meet on the beach. John asks Danny what they can do to work things out, but Danny doesn't have an answer. Danny tells him that Chelsea came to him first once Eric was attacked, meaning Danny knows that John left the previous night, thinking Danny was about to be killed and letting it happen anyway.

John apologizes for never standing up to their father but begs Danny to leave. Danny says that John can't forgive himself for what happened to Sarah – but John responds that he doesn't feel guilty about it at all. It was never his fault, and Danny was always making mistakes, even before Sarah died. Danny wants John to know what it feels like to be him. He says he will even leave if John begs him, so John can know what it feels like to beg.

Finally, John asks Danny when things are going to end, and attacks him. Danny just laughs as they wrestle in the ocean. John holds Danny's head underwater until he stops flailing.
