Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment was entered a two-year first-look deal with Universal Pictures.

Skybound, an Image Comics imprint that publishes Kirkman's original creations like The Walking Dead, Invincible, The Astounding Wolf-Man, and Outcast, was founded in 2010. Under the deal, Universal will get first dibs on producing and creating film adaptations of any property that fall under Skybound's purview.

"In high school I watched Army of Darkness pretty much every night before bed so I've seen that Universal logo steering around the planet we call home about a thousand times," Kirkman said. "The idea of producing movies that will bear that logo is just unbelievably awesome. We couldn't find better partners than the team at Universal. I believe this partnership is going to help David and I achieve all the goals we set out to accomplish when we founded Skybound five years ago."

Sadly, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that The Walking Dead, which is currently a massive television franchise at AMC, is not part of Universal's immediate Skybound plans.

So what other Kirkman comics would you like to see on the big screen? Sound off in the comments below.
