Avengers: Age of Ultron reviews are finally hitting the web, giving fans their first pieces of critical feedback on Joss Whedon's sequel.

While feedback so far has rang mostly positive, some critics are saying that the sequel doesn't quite recapture the magic from 2012's Avengers.

Below, you can check out some of the top reviews from the industry's chief film critics. Be warned: Some reviews may contain spoilers.

"The powers of Marvel's all-star superheroes go a bit wobbly in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Faced with the daunting prospect of topping the surprise and excitement of 2012's The Avengers, the third highest-grossing film of all time, writer-director Joss Whedon mixes some brooding down-time in with the abundant spectacle," wrote Todd McCarthy for The Hollywood Reporter.

"Having gotten over the hump of assembling his six main characters in 2012's "The Avengers," returning writer-director Joss Whedon brings a looser, more inventive and stylish touch to this skillful follow-up," Scott Foundas wrote for Variety.

"When Age of Ultron begins, with a big, "they're back!" fight scene, it's just, well, the same old gang again, having to work that much harder to surprise us," Richard Lawson wrote for Vanity Fair.

"Bigger and, yes, darker than the first, this is less air-punchingly gleeful but probably more consistent. Thanks to Whedon and the most charismatic, compelling cast you'll find anywhere, Age of Ultron redefines the scale we can expect from our superhero epics but still fits human-sized emotion amid the bombast," Helen O'Hara declared for Empire Magazine.

"'Age of Ultron' has a definite mid-season feel to it, telling a compelling but never game-changing story while laying the foundations for the epic, two-part 'Infinity War' due in 2018," Tom Huddleston decided on Time Out.

What do you think, readers? Have any of these reviews changed your opinion or anticipation? Fortunately, you'll be able to form your own opinion soon when
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1.
