Disney's Tomorrowland CinemaCon Footage

The release of Tomorrowland is right around the corner but still very little is known about the movie. Today, during Disney's CinemaCon panel, they showcased their latest trailer (seen below) and a featurette describing the film.

Before the trailer, Disney showed exclusive footage to CinemaCon attendees. The focus: Walt Disney. 

Several folks involved in the film, including star actor George Clooney described the film as being Walt Disney's dream of the future. Clips of Mr. Disney showcased his dream of a "beautiful tomorrow," and his enormous, dream-like plans for the future.

Footage included Walt Disney's vision for Disney World. The audience was given a look at original plans for the resort, concluding that Epcot is an inspiration of Tomorrowland. The vision Mr. Disney had in creating Epcot is comparable to the world which will be seen in the film.

The featurette claimed Tomorrowland is who Walt Disney is. Mr. Disney had a vision of "what the world could be like," and that is what will be showcased in Tomorrowland. According to Mr. Disney, he always wanted to create, "a place where people could live a life they can't find anywhere else."

Tomorrowland hits theaters May 22, 2015.
