Happy Birthday! Tom Welling Turns 38 Today

Today is actor Tom Welling's birthday.

Welling is best—and perhaps forever—known as Clark Kent from the CW's Superman prequel series, Smallville. In the fan-favorite series, Welling depicted Superman's early years in the small Kansas town before he donned the famous blue tights. Welling would assume the lead for ten more years and 217 episodes, firmly solidifying himself as one of history's most memorable on-screen Supermen.

Beyond Smallville, Welling held a memorable role in the Steve Martin comedy Cheaper by the Dozen and its eventual sequel. And in serendipitous twist of casting, he recently starred alongside the Man of Steel's Pa Kent, Kevin Costner, in Draft Day. If Costner had to pick his favorite super-son, we wonder who it would be.
