If you've somehow avoided Jared Leto's first look as the Joker in David Ayer's upcoming Suicide Squad, you really don't have to look far. I'm sure your Facebook feed has at least seven posts in a row about the reveal, but the question right now is that since we have our Mr. J, where is our Ms. Q, our Harley Quinn? Now, we've known that Margot Robbie will don the possible pigtails of Harley, but with the Joker looking so...different, what look do you think we'll get to along to this twisted Clown Prince?

1. The Classic

To some, this is the one and only. Harley debuted in Batman: The Animated Series, sparking the word "henchwench" and becoming an instant classic among fans. It wasn't until later that she finally joined comic canon, but remained a fan favorite through the years. It's the gold standard on which other versions are compared and judged to and continues to be the base on all redesigns, keeping the red and black and diamond visual cues. I doubt this version will ever see a live-action film debut, but some remain hopeful for something like this down the line to pop on screen.

2. The Arrow-verse

Some call Arrow the best Batman show that doesn't have Batman in it these days, and rightfully so. Ra's al-Ghul has become the main baddie for the season, and of course, the brief cameo in the season 2 episode "Suicide Squad". She's also been indirectly mentioned since then in season 3. This is probably something close to what we'll see, with her being quite deranged and less of a team player. At least the hair is in the right direction.

3. Arkham Asylum/City/Knight

So the first real deviation from the classic look came from 2009's now classic hit Arkham Asylum where Harley has donned a twisted nurse costume, but kept the black and red pattern and her comically-sized mallet. Fans were in an uproar then but consider it one of the more tamer looks she's presented in the Arkham-verse. In the sequel, Arkham City, the nurse look was toned down to be more in key with her New 52 look to have an almost Droog vibe to it. Kind of like a demented mime than actual clown. Finally, in the Arkham Knight, she's a mix of the two presenting a more lolita look with the ruffled skirt and puffy shoulders. The "playful" edge of violence is there with the candy cane baseball bat, as that would actually translate well to the screen.

4. New 52

With the launch of the New 52 universe, Harley was a member of the Suicide Squad and had a completely new look to her. She was less circus and more heavy metal with the corset and thigh high boots. This wasn't exactly what fans had in mine and the look was later altered to be in more in line with her classic look and colors, but being more in tune with the New 52 universe with the trucks and long boots. Her blonde hair has been dyed red and black, but the pigtails are still intact and mirror her old hat. This could be utilized on film as it's battle ready to an extent and looks like it's worn by an actual super criminal instead of just a sidekick.

5. Attack on Arkham

Probably the most like her classic attire with the domino mask, hat, white face and skin-tight fabric, the animated venture Attack on Arkham introduced a new Harley look that worked really well. It's simple, but not overly simplistic and doesn't deviate far from the mold. We're still unclear about what the nature and stage of Joker and Harley's relationship actually is in during Suicide Squad so I see this as her breaking off on her own, but keeping the minimal clown motifs around. It's still unmistakingly Harley and I personally wouldn't mind for them going in this direction with Leto's Joker being far from the norm so it balances things out.

So readers, what do you think? Are you still on the fence with Leto's Joker or have you made up your mind for the time being? How do you think they'll dress Harley and is there a particular look that you're wanting over something else? Sound off in the comments!
