Joe and Anthony Russo really have won the hearts of everyone at Marvel Studios, including its top actor, Robert Downey Jr.

The Russo Brothers, who will take the director's baton from Joss Whedon for the two-part Avengers threequel, Avengers: Infinity War, will join the growing list of directors to work with Downey Jr. and his iconic take on Iron Man. But Downey Jr. isn't worried about the change of hands. In fact, he recently said in an interview that he looks forward to partnering with the directing duo.

"I really think the Russo Brothers are super sharp and I think they are worthy stewards of carrying it forward," Downey Jr told Entertainment Weekly.

Of course, Downey Jr. will collaborate with the Russos in 2016's Captain America: Civil War first. The brothers were awarded the third Captain America and Avengers films after making a box-office and critical darling out of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
