There are, after all, only 104 days of summer vacation, so Phineas and Ferb, Disney XD's hit show about genius step-brothers who spend each day making something spectacular, is coming to an official close. After a sporadic schedule over the last year that included a special look into the kids' teenage years, Friday June 12 will mark the series finale with an hour-long episode titled "Last Day of Summer."

The special brings the Emmy-winning cartoon to an end after 126 episodes, a TV movie, and one-hour specials that included crossovers with Marvel Comics and Star Wars characters. In addition to the title characters, the progressive show introduced a step-family, a mixed-race family, single-divorced parents who still communicated - and of course a secret agent platypus named Perry.

The final episode comes after a 73 hour marathon starting Tuesday, June 9 at 8pm EDT/PDT, running every single episode of the series, plus the specials and movie. "Last Day of Summer" marks big sister Candace's last chance to bust her brothers, and while she is foiled, she accidentally sets off the Do-Over-Inator, Dr. Doofenshmirtz's latest ridiculous invention. While she gets the chance to redo the day, she also tears apart time and space; days get shorter, things go haywire, and oh, her brothers disappear entirely!

Fans of Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh can take heart though, as Disney XD will be keeping the show's creators around for an all-new animated series starting in 2017 entitled Mikey Murphy's Law, the story of the great-great-great-great grandson of that Murphy. The new series will also bring along Phineas co-workers producer/director Robert F. Hughes, story editor Scott Peterson, and staff writers Joshua Pruett, Dani Vetere, and Martin Olson.

What was your and your kids' favorite Phineas and Ferb story out of the whole series?
