The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to humor. Ever since Robert Downey Jr. took on the role of Tony Stark in Iron Man back in 2008, we've come to expect a certain amount of wit with ever Marvel Studios production. Guardians of the Galaxy took that humor to another level last year, but this year, the Avengers assembled once again to not only save the world, but fill audiences with laughter and cheer.

Below is a list of the five moments we deem the funniest from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Be warned, spoilers follow from Age of Ultron is you haven't seen it yet, as the moments are spread throughout the 2 hours and 21 minutes of the film.

Language

5. Language!

Sadly for Captain America, he became the butt of a running joke throughout the movie. After Age of Ultron opened on a killer continuous shot of Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Iron Man beating down on a horde of soldiers, Iron Man flew right into an invisible shield around Baron von Strucker's fortress.

Caught off guard, Stark let out a choice (the first word of the movie, in fact) word that Cap did not approve of. "Language!" Captain America demanded. "Are we just going to ignore the fact that Cap just said, 'Language?'" Stark asked a few moments later. From there on, Stark, Barton, Banner, Thor, Romanov, and even Rhodes took part in laughing at Rogers for his sensitivity.

Sweating

4. Steve Rogers moves Mjolnir

After the party at Avengers tower, the team took part in a bonding activity. One by one (actually, at one point Stark and Rhodes tried together), they attempted to lift Thor's hammer as he smugly claimed that they are not worthy. Of course, no one could make the hammer budge until Steve Rogers stepped to the plate. Rogers moved the hammer - just a smidge - but enough to make Thor's upper lip sweat. Once Cap couldn't actually wield Mjolnir, Thor returned to his smug grin, but this time actually being relieved.

elevator

3. The elevator is not worthy.

Once the heroes were done saving the world (for the second time), they regrouped at the New Avengers Facility in upstate New York. Prior to Thor's sendoff, Stark and Rogers bantered from either side of him about the Vision's capability to wield Thor's hammer. They joked about Vision being a machine, so that's why he could pick it up and they can't, adding that if you put the hammer in an elevator, the elevator goes up. "Elevator's not worthy," Rogers joked. To wrap up the comedic bit, Thor returned to Asgard, leaving a healthy mark on the lawn. "That guy has absolutely no regard for lawn care," Stark joked.

Vision

2. Vision picks up Thor's hammer

As joked about by Rogers and Stark in the previous point, Vision picking up Thor's hammer was probably the loudest moment in the theater. After the emphasis of the Avengers not being able to wield Mjolnir, Vision came into creation and without hesitation or boasting, lifted Thor's hammer only to hand it to him with an unmatchable confidence. Thor, shocked, tried to play it cool and instantly gained an unbreakable trust for Vision. The laughter combined with sounds of awe made for a memorable scene.

GoToSleep

1. Go to sleep. Go to sleep. Go to sleep. Go to sleep. I'm sorry.

The Hulk vs. Hulkbuster fight was a top notch action sequence packed with amazing visual effects and choreography. To top off those elements, it had a moment of side-splitting humor. "In the back? D--- move, Banner," Stark said as Veronica repaired his arm from a satellite supply station. That's not the best part, though. When Stark got on top of the Hulk and unleashed a rapid jab into Hulk's face, repeating, "Go to sleep! Go to sleep! Go to sleep!" as he did, it was impossible not to burst out laughing. Of course, the Hulk spitting his tooth out and offering a terrifying over the shoulder look at Stark, warranting an "I'm sorry," from an almost never apologetic guy, built one of the most epic scenes in Marvel Cinematic Universe history.
