Arrow Season 3 Finale To Tease Legends Of Tomorrow

Tonight's highly anticipated Arrow season finale will set up yet another highly anticipated DC Comics television event, the upcoming spinoff series Legends of Tomorrow.

Executive Producer Mark Guggenheim tells THR that Ray Palmer's final scene will position the character for his new home on Legends.

Ray's [Brandon Routh] last scene, which is a very definitive sendoff, was actually something we talked about way back at the beginning of the year, long before the spinoff was discussed. While Ray's sendoff does a nice job of teeing up where he is headed in the spinoff, it was always something we were going to do. It functions both as an end to Ray's story in season three, as well as a little tease of what people might be able to expect from the spinoff.

Legends of Tomorrow will join The CW's lineup of DC Comics superhero series during the 2015-16 television season.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
