The upcoming new Dragon Ball Super anime will be adapted into a manga. The manga will be created by artist Toyotarō, with Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama receiving credit for the original story. The manga will launch in the August issue of V Jump.

Toyotarō previously adapted the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F anime movie into a three-chapter manga.

Dragon Ball Super will be the first Dragon Ball anime to air on television since Dragon Ball GT concluded 18 years ago. The show's story is set several years after the defeat of Majin Buu, during a period of peace on Earth.

Dragon Ball Super debuts on Fuji TV in Japan this July.
