Jeff Goldblum is on the set of Independence Day 2, the blockbuster sequel in which Goldblum reprises his role as David Levinson.

Writer/producer Dean Devlin posted a photo with Goldblum to Instagram, calling it a "dream come true" to hang out with Goldblum, 20 years after the first Independence Day.

Roland Emmerich is returning to direct he sequel. Goldblum and Bill Pullman are both returning to reprise their star roles. They'll be joined by franchise newcomer Liam Hemsworth.

Independence Day 2 will be set 15 years after the original film, when the aliens return to Earth. The film is scheduled to open on June 24, 2016.
