An Iron Man Edition S6 Edge smart phone just sold for the Tony Stark-level price of over $91,000.
The ultra-rare phone features the Avengers' bold red and gold color scheme, along with a decal of Iron Man. Reported to be limited to just 1,000 copies, it has been the holy grail of smart phone and tech and shell heads since its release. Some phones scooped up more than $35,000 in sales, but one device in China thrashed those numbers like a Chitauri foot-soldier.
In an on online auction at JD.com, a Chinese online retailer, the phone sold for more than $91,000 after 92,429 bids. Whoever this flush buyer is, he or she just spent almost 100 times more than the phone's suggested retail value of $1079. But at least this is the luckiest phone in the Marvel Universe. See, the phone's serial number was 66, and in Chinese culture, 6 is a lucky number. That buyer's certainly going to need twice the amount of luck if he or she wants to refill their bank account.
