, Disney/Pixar's Inside Out won Friday, but Jurassic World won the weekend box office.

The latest Disney-Pixar film Inside Out took in $34.2 million on Friday and rode ecstatic word-of-mouth to a $91.1 million opening weekend — the best opening for any non-sequel Pixar film and the second best of any Pixar film behind only Toy Story 3, which opened at $110.3 million.

Inside Out also managed the biggest-ever opening for any film not based on existing source material, beating out the $77 million debut of Avatar, which of course went on to be one of the top-grossing films of all time.

Jurassic World finished up Friday with $29M won the weekend with and estimated $102 million. That brings it to a total of $398 million domestically so far. It's a foregone conclusion that the film will eclipse $400 million in 11 days, meaning that it will beat out the existing record held by Marvel's The Avengers (14 days).

Internationally, the film came up huge and to date has made $981 million, surpassing Despicable Me 2 and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to crack the all-time top 25.

Spy dropped just about a third from last week's performance, generating $10.4 million to take third place. San Andreas and Dope, with $8.2 and $6 million respectively, rounded out the top five.
