During a new interview with Collider in support of his film Inside Out, Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan said he hasn't had any conversations yet about returning to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future.
"They've left it open. We haven't really spoken about it, so I don't know what to expect," MacLachlan said when asked whether he might return to the ABC series set in the world of The Avengers films. "I think they left the door ajar for him. He's still around. He's in a happier place now, but who's to say if that's going to remain that way. I don't know. It would be fun. I would enjoy it."
Of course, he'll be busy for the time being, as he's returning to Twin Peaks for the first time in more than two decades for an 18-episode event series taking place onShowtime in 2016. That series will start filming in September or October,MacLachlan toldCollider.
