Today is J.J. Abrams' birthday.

As a writer, director, and producer, Abrams has helped create some of the most popular science fiction movies and television shows throughout the last decade. His movie directing credits include Mission: Impossible III, Stark Trek, Star Trek: Into Darkness, and the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Abrams has also produced and executive produced several popular television shows like Lost (which he also created), Fringe, Revolution, Person of Interest, and Alias. He will also serve as a producer on the upcoming Star Trek 3.
