Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Announce They Are Divorcing

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck and his wife, Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner, are splitting after 10 years of marriage.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time," the couple said in a joint statement to Us Weekly. "This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

Ben, 42, and Jen, 43, produced three children togehter: Violet, 9; Seraphina, 6; and Samuel, 3. The former couple met on Michael Bay's 2001 film Pearl Harbor, but they fell in love on the set of 2003's Daredevil. Though they didn't start dating until 2004 and married in 2005.

This is Garner's second divorce. She was previously married to her Alias co-star Scott Foley. This is Affleck's first divorce, however, he was at one time engaged to pop singer and part-time actor Jennifer Lopez.
