According to a report by Bloody Disgusting, who yesterday reported that Darth Vader would be in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, he won't be the only major fan-favorite villain in the film. Indeed, according to their single unnamed source, a host of bounty hunters from Star Wars past will also join the fray.

The source says that Ben Mendelsohn will play a Moff tasked with stopping these Rebels who stole the Death Star plans, and his character will hire a large group of bounty hunters to do the job. That list reads like a "best of" list, including Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss, 4LOM, IG-88, and The Clone Wars' own blue-skinned hat-wearing bounty hunter Cad Bane. They also said that a Wookiee bounty hunter, perhaps Black Krrsantan from the Darth Vader comic book, has been part of the conversation, but was unconfirmed.

Of course, this all must be taken with a grain of salt - a single source talking to a single site is nothing assured, but it would make a certain amount of sense. This would be a lot of fan service for a movie meant to stand on its own, and would certainly drive a lot of fans into seats. The idea of getting to see Cad Bane come to life would make a lot of The Clone Wars fans, and the Story Group has teased that characters introduced in one place, like animation or comic books, could later appear in live action. We may hear more plot details at the Comic-Con Star Wars panel this weekend, though the only confirmed appearances at that panel are from people involved with The Force Awakens.

Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, the first of a series of stand-alone, non-Episodic films in the franchise, is due in theaters December 16, 2016 from director Gareth Edwards. It stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, and Ben Mendelsohn.
