For three summers in a row, Nitehawk Cinema has been putting together fun-filled outdoor events that celebrate film, music and yummy food. With the 20th anniversary of Mallrats upon us they've teamed up with Buzzfeed for a special rooftop screening of the 1995 cult classic comedy.

Mallrats filmmaker Kevin Smith and co-star Jason Mewes will be on hand and taking part in a question and answer session before the film is shown. Extra points for the person that asks Smith what a chocolate and stink palm-covered pretzel tastes like.

  • Venue: 50 Kent Avenue (between North 11th and North 12th Streets, Williamsburg)
  • Screening venue will open at 5:00pm
  • Bands begin at 7:00pm / Films begin at sunset
  • Nitehawk's screenings are free and open to the public
  • Beer, wine, refreshments & food available for purchase
  • CASH ONLY!
  • Venue rules: Guests may bring blankets & towels to sit on. No pets or outside drinks allowed.

A sequel to Mallrats, which is titled Mallbrats, will begin filming later this year.
