Chris Pine has reportedly signed on to play Steve Trevor in Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman film.

Rumors circulated earlier this summer that Pine might play Wonder Woman's love interest in the upcoming film, but were quickly replaced with other rumors saying that he was actually a candidate for Green Lantern Corp. But according to The Wrap, who cites an inside tip, Pine has indeed landed on Themyscira—just like in the comics.

The report also claims that Pine has agreed to a multi-picture deal with Warner Bros., meaning that he could appear in Wonder Woman sequels and other DC Cinematic Universe films. In the DC Comics, Trevor is sometimes used as a connective tissue between various Justice League characters and DC's SHIELD equivalent, ARGUS. So, Warner Bros. could have plans to make Pine's Trevor the answer to Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury in the Marvel movies.

Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 24, 2017. And to see where else Pine may show up as Steve Trevor, head to ComicBook.com's Comic Book Movie Database!
