What Are Vacation's Comic Book Movie Cameos?
This week, the second generation of Griswolds embarked on a cross country adventure to Walley [...]
Chris Hemsworth
Thor himself crossed the Bifrost Bridge for an appearance in Vacation that would probably be dubbed as more than a cameo. The Norse God played a prideful country man who intimidated Rusty with his good looks and manliness. It wasn't on purpose, but any man would feel a bit of insecurity creeping in if his wife or girlfriend was that close to Thor's hammer.

Although Day's part in Vacation was meatier than a mere cameo, as seen in select trailers for the R-Rated comedy, his appearance is worth listing. The actor of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia fame played a part in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim in 2013. And--for those who didn't know--Pacific Rim is based on the Japanese manga.

Peña, who recently stole the show in Ant-Man, paid a little homage to his End of Watch days in Vacation. When Rusty and Debbie Griswold snuck onto the Four Corners Monument, they were greeted by police for their indecent intrusion. However, the four officers (Including Peña) represented a different state, and while they argued about who had the correct jurisdiction to arrest the Griswolds, the Griswolds escaped.

The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus popped up near the end of Vacation's road. The man known for taking down walkers with a crossbow played a truck driver who followed the Griswolds from Missourri to California to return Debbie's lost wedding ring. Reedus is now the second cast member to be featured in the Vacation franchise of films. His new season six co-star, Ethan Embry, played the young Rusty Griswold in the 1997, Chevy Chase-led, Vegas Vacation.
