Vine Star Zach King Stars In New Fantastic Four TV Spots

The producers of the Fantastic Four film, due in theaters next week, have shown fans a lot less footage than other recent superhero movies like Ant-Man or Avengers: Age of Ultron had at roughly the same time in their release schedule -- but what they have been doing to engage fans is to examine the world in which the characters and story exist at some length.

20th Century Fox and Viacom Velocity have teamed up with Vine star magician, Zach King, to create some light-hearted, super-powered promotional spots set to start airing on Monday.

They aren't quite as "in-universe" as the infotainment about how the movie's fake science works, but they're similarly playing with the rules and imagery of the film without showing any more of the actual movie.

Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

The film stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell. Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 7, 2015.
