Star-Lord's Origin In New Guardians Of The Galaxy Animated Series Clip

Marvel Entertainment has released a new clip from Disney XD's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy the animated series.

In James Gunn's live-action film, Peter Quill's mother dies in her hospital bed and that leads to the distraught young boy running away and soon after being abducted by aliens. Now we can see what happened to Peter right after he's snatched from Earth and figures out the toy-gun in his backpack is no toy at all.

Guardians of the Galaxy the animated series premieres Sept. 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET on Disney XD, with two back-to-back episodes. A sneak preview of the first episode will air Sept. 5 at 9 p.m. ET.
