Final Fantasy XV: Dawn Trailer Released

From Gamescom in Germany, Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XV, the next installment of their venerable JRPG series.

The trailer goes into the backstory of Final Fantasy XV's main character, and features…a lot of hugging.

The destiny of the stars is set in motion 15 years before the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. As the shadow of turmoil is cast over the land, there is hope on the horizon as an unbreakable bond is forged between a father and son, and the light of a new dawn rises on a hero.

Final Fantasy XV is the final game in the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, which also includes the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, Final Fantasy Type-0, and Final Fantasy Agito. A playable demo of Final Fantasy XV, titled Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae, was included with the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this year.

Final Fantasy XV still has no firm release date, but is expected to debut in 2016.
