Universal Pictures is easily having the best 2015 out of any studio. Their box office hits include Jurassic World, Furious 7, Minions, Fifty Shades of Grey, Pitch Perfect 2 and now they can add Straight Outta Compton to the list. F. Gary Gray's NWA biopic annihilated the competition at the North American box office this weekend with $24.3M on Friday, to it on pace for a $59M debut weekend. Audiences bestowed the film with an 'A' CinemaScore.

Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E., starring Henry "Superman" Cavill and Armi "The Lone Ranger" Hammer, underperformed with only $4.8M on Friday. It should finish up in third-place in its debut weekend with $13.6M. Ouch!

Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation stays strong with $17M for the weekend, good enough for a distant second-place finish. Fox's Fantastic Four plummets 79% from last week's figures. It'll take fourth-place with $7.9M. Marvel's Ant-Man pulls in at #6 with $5.35M, pushing its domestic cume to $153M.
