Nickelodeon has granted The Fairly Odd Parents' wish, green-lighting a 10th season for the venerable animated series. The long-running Nickelodeon show, about a boy named Timmy Turner and his wish-granting fairy god parents, will receive a 13 half-hour episode pick-up for the season.

"As one of Nickelodeon's most successful and longstanding series, this renewal of The Fairly OddParents is a promise to our loyal and ever-growing fans that we will continue the adventures, magic and fun," Nickelodean's President of Content Development, Russell Hicks, said in a statement.

The milestone season will introduce a new character named Chloe Carmichael (pictured below). Nickelodeon describes her as an "enthusiastic, funny and over-achieving little girl who Timmy will have to share his fairies with. Well-intentioned, she wants to make the world a better place, but comically goes too far sometimes."

"Our fans are a huge part of the show's enduring success, so it's an honor to bring them another milestone season of The Fairly OddParents," Fairly OddParents creator Butch Hartman said in a statement. "With the introduction of Chloe, the magic, laughter and classic stories will be amped to the max!"
