GKids will bring Studio Ghibli's Only Yesteday to North American theaters in 2016.

The English-language voice cast will include Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley, as well as Star Wars Rebels' Ashley Eckstein, Orange is the New Black's Alison Fernandez, and Dev Patel.

"With this 25th anniversary release, a broad new audience will now be able to discover what passionate supporters have known for years," said David Jesteadt of GKids. "Only Yesterday is a groundbreaking classic and further demonstration of Isao Takahata's incredible legacy as a filmmaker."

Only Yesterday was released in Japan in 1991, and is the only Studio Ghibli film still unavailable on home media in the United States (those rights rest with Disney). The film is directed by Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies), and tells the story of a 27-year-old single woman traveling by train to visit family in the country. While on her journey, she is flooded with memories from her school girl years, causing her to question the decisions she's made in her life.

GKids has previously partnered with Studio Ghibli to release When Marnie Was There, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness, and From Up on Poppy Hill, and handles distribution in North America for Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, and other films in Ghibli's library.
