Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, revealed that the Terminator, the character made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger, was at one time considered for Mortal Kombat X.

Boon didn't provide any further details, but it seems like the T-800 would have been a nice addition to the Horror Pack, which included Friday the 13th slasher Jason Voorhees and the Predator as playable characters.

Even thought Terminator won't appear in Mortal Kombat in the foreseeable future, gamers can get be satisfied with playing as Arnie's T-800 in the upcoming professional wrestling video game WWE 2K16, which will arrive on October 27, 2015.

You can see Boon's tweet below.
