Gabriel Chavarria Lands Human Lead In War Of The Planet Of The Apes; Filming To Begin In October

According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox is in negotiations with Gabriel Chavarria to play one of two human leads in War of the Planet of the Apes.

Chavarria has made a name for himself in the Hulu drama series East Los High. He'll also be featured in two upcoming films, Low Riders and A Better Life.

Matt Reeves, who directed Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is set to return. He's hoping to commence filming for War of the Planet of the Apes this October in Vancouver.

War of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for release on July 14, 2017.
